Rescue Me ID: 16-09-24-00481Ellis (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ellis is a 3 year old Dachshund / Rat Terrier mix and weighs about 13 lbs. This sweet little baby was found limping in a bad part of town. He had several scratches, wounds and just looked defeated. We simply could not leave him behind. He was taken to an animal clinic immediately. His foot was turned out laterally at the hook. Ellis has had surgery and is doing great now. He has no restrictions on his activity level and is ready for a his very own forever family. Here is what his foster mom had to say about him: Ellis just got to us. He already is crate trained and keeps it clean, walks on leash without pulling and he knows sit. He seems ... (Read More)like he will be very food motivated so should be easy to train We've got 5 dogs all much bigger than Ellis and all very high energy and playful. We were worried about how he'd fit in with such big dogs and lots of tussling and chaos, but so far he's very confident and happy. We don't think he's fully house trained, working on this. He is a real cuddle bug, loves to be next to a human, and he's also great in the car and with kids. He's the smallest pup we've fostered but he's got a big personality - you can't help falling in love with him instantly. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. A customs fee may apply at Canadian airports. Ground transportation to Colorado is available for $75, and several locations in the northeastern US for $175. We are a street dog rescue in Houston, Texas seeking to place rescued dogs in loving homes across the US and Canada. Our region has more homeless animals than homes, so we look outside of our area for adopters. The adoption fee of $200 covers neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Please apply to adopt Norman online at www.corridorrescue.org. Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member! Rescue Me ID: 16-09-22-00396Rose Blossom (female)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

It's a cruel world for a puppy left on the streets to fend for itself. Rose Blossom was not even 3 month old when our street team witnessed her getting hit by car. The car didn't stop! The driver didn't care to check on her! She surely was lucky that we were around to come to her aid that day. She wasn't used to the human touch and quite fearful at first. You can see in her rescue video she held her breath and barely moved. She was taken to the vet immediately and diagnosed with sarcoptic mange and a fractured leg. Luckily, one of our great foster moms stepped up to the plate and said she will show Rose Blossom what it means to be loved ... (Read More)and cared for. Within no time Rose Blossom was cleared of the mange and came around quickly. She now does not want to leave her foster mom's side and is eager to please. She loves all people and gets along great with every dog that crosses her way. Her foster mom said that Rose did ok with her cat but if the cat was to run from her then Rose would chase it too. She is house & crate trained and sits by the door if she needs to go potty. She is still a puppy but has learned quickly to take her business outside. Unfortunately, her foster mom travels quite often for work and Rose Blossom will have to go into boarding if we cannot find her another place to go to soon. The kennel is not a place for a fragile puppy that is just learning to enjoy live. It will crush her having to sit behind bars all day. Can you be her rescue angel and let her enjoy being a puppy? A puppy that gets to do all those wonderful things it is supposed to do. Let her nap on your lap, play with toys, possibly even play with other furry sibling and let her spend time in your yard trying to catch butterflies. She surely would love to spend the nights in a comfy dog bed, safe and sound with you around. Instead of having to be in a cold kennel all by herself. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. Black Mouth Cur Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Pssst, hello, is this thing on? Hi, my name is Neo, and boy am I glad you stopped to look at my selfie. I love taking selfies, but it would be great to have a photo bomber to call mine own. I am an adventurer who loves swimming, playing tug-war, and man if I could find a running buddy, I might just slow down and let you win! I get along with almost everyone including babies, I mean, come on, who doesn't love babies? I could just lick those cheeks all day long! I am so ready to have a home that I have learned to sit, stay, and come and I would never use the potty anywhere else besides the great outdoors! I adore food, so I need to be ... (Read More)fed separately from the rest of the pack. I was on my own for so long that food is precious to me and I can get a bit hangry. I am sure everyone gets hangry sometimes! Am I right? Look, in all seriousness, I love Corridor Rescue and all my friends here, and they absolutely adore me (I mean, who wouldn't) but it is time for me to find a family of my own. They will understand, I promise! Would you be my photo bomber? This boy was rescued from an unwanted dog dumping ground in Houston on New Year's Day. He was found by our street team scared and emaciated. But boy, has Neo come out of his shell! He's is 3 years old and a 45 lbs ball of loveable fire! Neo makes friends easily and is all about pleasing his human. He needs an active and experienced handler, someone who can help him properly channel his energy and enthusiasm. We know his hero is out there, we just need to make a love connection. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. Rescue Me ID: 16-09-11-00152Norman (male)

Cairn    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Lap dog in training: From street life to sweet life! Norman is an adorable Cairn Terrier mix rescued from the mean streets of Houston. He is about 3 years old and weight 12 lbs. He's looking for a loving and understanding family to help him adjust from being an unwanted and neglected street pup to a life as a loved companion, allowed to live inside the home. Norman is living in a foster home and learning to be an inside dog for the first time. He already has learned to go potty outside. His foster mom said: He is a very smart boy! In a matter of a day he would go to the door and scratch once to go outside. He stays in my office since the ... (Read More)first day and has never had an accident in there or anywhere in the house. He is good with small dogs but really wants to play with his big furry foster sibling, but he is not interested at all. Norman is non-reactive to cats so far but will need to be properly introduced if his forever family has cats. Norman has not been around kids, but walks up to strangers with his head up and tail wagging. He is very receptive to petting. Now that he doesn't have to live on the streets anymore his favorite thing to do is play with toys, snuggle up to his human on the couch and ask for belly rubs. It took a couple of days for Norman to feel secure before he would play, or roll over for belly rubs. He loves to play fetch but we are still working on the return part. He really wants to keep the ball for himself! He never had a toy before so we are not mad at him at all. One of the cutes things he does is the way he struts around and just exudes happiness! This little dog is so happy to be in a home. There is nothing that Norman doesn't like about his new life. He takes it all in and is getting more confident each day. In the beginning he had problems with quick movements towards him. He would stiffen up and look ready to defend himself. He now knows there is no need to defend himself anymore'|he is safe. He also would drop any hand given treat to the floor and examine it before eating. He obviously has not been given many hand fed treats before. Now he will take them gently out of your hand and joyfully eat them right away. He has learned so much in such short period of time. He is well behaved when left alone, walks very nicely on the leash- or I should say prances very nicely. He will come if you call him and we are working on basic commands. We think Norman will adjust to any family. He is very adaptable and either a busy or quiet household will work for him. However, there is one request Norman has for his new forever family. Please be willing to give him some time to adjust and don't forget where he comes from. He may take a little while to get used to you and his new environment. His foster mom said when he first arrived, he howled softly and mournfully the first 4 nights. Once he trusts you, which will not take very long, he has lots of love to give and will happily accompany you to wherever you take him. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275.     Hi ya'll, it's me Rosie Mae! After being rescued from the streets of the Corridor of Cruelty when I was only two, my foster mommy couldn't let me go and adopted me, and that was more than three years ago. We are two peas in a pod who have a fantastic life together. Sadly, my mommy is relocating internationally and can't take me with her. Though we are both very sad, we know that I will find another great home soon. I told mom that our home is awesome but an even bigger yard would be super cool! Mommy says I'm such a fun, beautiful girl who constantly makes her laugh. When not getting a belly rub, I'm more than likely chasing lizards ... (Read More)and squirrels in the yard. My two favorite things are meeting new people and going for walks. Although I have a best dog friend Buddy, who lives across the street, mom says it's better if I'm an only child. I am house training and don't care to chew on anything that doesn't belong to me either. Everyone tells me that I'm a sweetie and how cuddly and affectionate I am. Mommy says that though I'm a 65 lb, I think I'm a lap dog. Average energy level Somewhat dominant Cat compatibility unknown House Trained Leash Trained - walks on leash without pulling Knows SIT, STAY, COME Will come when called when off leash Makes friends with people easily, good with all people including babies and toddlers Likes to play keep-a-way Good running or jogging buddy Likes plush toys, squeaky toys and chew toys **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275.     Degreed and well-travelled pup looking for a happily ever after. Diego, is my name and I was rescued from a less than favorable living situation. Yes, I was once homeless. The only comfort I had was my street buddy, Bigelow. When it was cold outside we would cuddle up; when there were heavy downpours of rain we would squeeze next one another up against a large tree. Yes, we would still get soaking wet, but we had each other. We would protect each other and share our food. Every day we waited at the same corner for those kind ladies, who gave us yummy meals and scratched our ears. They would tell us,' hang in there buddies, we are ... (Read More)working on a home for you two.' We didn't know, what a home actually was, but those ladies kept us hopeful and waiting. My buddy and I had faced quite a few struggles but we always managed to survive. Then one day, I have to admit, we were pretty beat up, I was limping had a cut on my foot, and had bite wounds all over head, and my buddy was not any better off. So, when those lovely ladies arrived to serve us a yummy meal again, they decided that we had to get off the streets immediately. You just don't know how relieved I was when they loaded us up in their car. I knew I was off to a better place. Since my rescue, I have learned quite a bit. Life has been good and I had no idea how much fun I had been missing out on all of that time. Since my rescue I have earned several degrees. The Art of Squeaky Toys, Art of Ball Catching, Advanced Techniques in the Science of How to Manipulate Your Human, just to name a few. I have also travelled a lot. I would love for my new human to be just as well traveled as I would need you to take me to my favorite places. Long walks and dog parks are on my priority list, after that we might go to Starbucks to get a puppuccino. I know, I know what amazing treats those are. Ice cream will do the trick too. I also enjoy trips to Petsmart or Petco. So, please be prepared so we can take those fun trips together. I also know how to walk on the leash, I know basic commands, I'm house and crate trained and I love to play with most dogs. I can even tolerate some cats. I love all humans, children included and last but not least I have just earned my Master's Degree in Cuddling. I had a rough start in life but I've come a long way. I'm ready and well-prepared to be your best friend for eternity. Oh, I weigh about 45 lbs and I'm three years old. Sincerely, Diego **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275.     Hello World! Karma, that's me. Do you like my picture? The volunteer said it could've been a lot better if I'd stayed still for just a couple of seconds. I was just so glad to see a human playmate that I completely lost control of my tail. When that happens, it gets to wagging so fast that the rest of me sort of follows along. Happiness! That's my normal state of being. I'm about 55 pounds of pure love and happiness; never met a human I didn't like. I can be sassy with other dogs and would do best in a home where I don't have to compete for love. Cats? Well, maybe I could get used to them. Jury's still out on that one. The kennel staff ... (Read More)here where I am staying, temporarily I hope, say that my body type resembles a sausage! I'm pretty sure that I'm mostly Boxer maybe with some hound mixed in. Hard to know since I've been an orphan most of my life. I hope the kennel staff won't take offense when I tell you how much I want out of this place. They all love me, and say good things like, 'I can't believe Karma hasn't been adopted yet, she's so sweet.' I love them back but it gets lonely here at night and I need a companion. I need to have a playmate and I need long walks with my human. If you need a companion who is submissive, loving, loyal, good with kids and just darn cute, well, I'm your pup! **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. Shar-Pei Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Are you looking for a lovable, cuddly, silly and playful dog? A dog that has a tons of personality and is ready to explore with you what the world has to offer on adventures. A dog that will be loyal and follow your lead until the very end? Then that would be me! Let me introduce myself, my name is Brutus. I'm a 5 year old Shar Pei Mix and weigh 63 pounds. I was rescued off the streets in less ideal conditions but I have healed up nicely and even got to learn what it is like living inside a home. I cannot believe what I have missed out all of my lonely life. I'm a quick learner and I'm house and crate trained already. I still have to work ... (Read More)on my leash skills but I'm getting there...just be patient with me. I'm good with other dogs and older children. I think I would do best with an experienced dog owner as I can be a handful if I know I can get away with it. I love being active and going to parks but I also can be a couch potato like you have never seen before. This is what my foster dad had to say about me: 'Brutus will be your best television buddy you have ever wished for. He will not bother you or interrupt as he is quite intrigued with this kind of entertainment. I have never seen a dog watch television as intensely as Brutus. Brutus has amazing energy and loves to be outside. He is your typical happy dog, always excited to see me when I come home and even more excited when he knows he is going for a ride in the car. The car is his big thing. He is very well behaved in the car. He doesn't try to stick his head out the window and for the most part, he sits there like a good boy just watching the world go by. After working with Brutus for about 8 weeks or so, I have managed to teach him to come, to stay, to sit, no, down, and of course he responds to telling him what a good boy he is when he is being pet. He loves to be tickled and pushed around on the sofa. He gets very silly and comes back for more. He plays in a very gentle manner. Brutus can still be a handful on a leash as he gets distracted easily. Since Brutus has a lot of energy, a yard where he can run around in or just relax outside would be best. He likes being outside and watching the squirrels in the trees and I'm sure hoping one of them would just fall down. Brutus gets along very well with most dogs but tends to be more of an alpha by nature. For the most part he is a big baby, but having been in the streets, he senses a challenge and will not back down from one. He got along well with my female dog from the moment I took him home. They play and run together often. He is incredibly silly when he plays. He is a true joy to be around and to watch. Brutus is friendly with everyone he meets including children but I don't recommend a home with very small children yet because he tends to get excited and could easily knock down a child without meaning to. Homes with cats are a bad idea. He is a cat chaser as well as a squirrel chaser'|he just can't help it. Brutus is definitely, "Mr. Personality"! He will make you laugh so hard and smother you with kisses and cuddles until you cannot take it anymore. No worries, he will stop if you ask him too but it is hard denying him when you know where he came from.' **Brutus is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. Pit Bull    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

**Courtesy Post** My name is Latifa. I am about 3-1/2 years old. I was named after a queen but certainly wasn't treated like one. I was used for breeding and when my owner decided to replace me with one of my puppies he dumped me at the Cozumel Humane Society. Yep, you read that right. I'm from Cozumel, Mexico and here's my story. My rescuer lives in Houston, Texas where she devotes a lot of her time to dog rescue. She also owns a home in Cozumel. She's friends with the president of the Cozumel Humane Society and it seems even on vacation she feels the need to help the helpless. The Humane Society posted a picture of me on Facebook ... (Read More)and my rescuer, being a huge fan of Pitties, saw it and decided to foster me while she was vacationing on the island. Wouldn't you know I fell head over heels in love with her and her with me. Both her and her husband cried when they had to return to the states and return me to the Humane Society. When they returned a month later I got to stay with them again. It was during that stay they put a plan together to get me back to the states. A week later I became a Texan. Honestly it was hard at first because being from Mexico I only spoke Spanish. My rescuer sent me to live with a trainer that is teaching me English. I've learned what sit, down, stay and no means plus I've learned to walk nicely on a leash and become comfortable with a crate. I'm not a super energetic dog. I enjoy a few crazy romps around the backyard. Then I just want to chill and be next to my human(s). Before I was rescued I never had much attention so now it's pretty important to me. I LOVE snuggling on the sofa and cuddling in bed. Short walks are good too. I really don't care for cats and as far as dogs are concerned I would really prefer to live alone. I can be a little dog selective at times. I was kept in a run with puppies at the Humane Society but I'm tired of being a mom. I've also played with other dogs at my trainer's house but my rescuer feels I would do best as an only dog because I deserve 100% of my humans attention. I want to be spoiled and treated like a queen for the rest of my life. My ideal home would be one where my human is home the majority of the time. Like I said I want to be pampered and spoiled. My rescuer says I need someone that will be firm with me and make me mind my manners because I'm a little stubborn. I would do best in a home without small children because I'm somewhat of a bull in a china cabinet, older kids would be fine. I'm 3 1/2 years old, fully vetted, crate trained, obedience trained, microchipped and ready to be your lap dog. **This dog is NOT with Corridor Rescue. We are posting as a courtesy for one of our volunteers who has independently rescued the dog.** Latifa is in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to the US and Canada for $275. Rescue Me ID: 16-07-21-00620Dallas (male)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Dallas is three years old, we think. He looks like he has some Pit Bull and some Labrador in him and probably other breeds. He is a strikingly handsome fellow with a beautiful face, and a soft, silky coat. He is definitely unique with his mix of brindle, white, and spots and a really gorgeous guy! He was found in the Corridor, half-starved, terrified, and with a broken leg. It took a lot of love and coaxing to come in because he was so scared. He has been severely traumatized by what has gone on in his life before we were able to rescue him. Initially, he was skittish, cried a lot, exhibited submissive unrination, hid from sight and ... (Read More)had no trust in people at all. It is heartbreaking contemplate the horrible things he has gone through that would so break his spirit and emotionally scar him so badly. A lot of love and patience by his foster family has helped bring him out of his shell and helped him to learn to trust other dogs, and humans. He seems to get along very well now with his fosters' pack. He has blossomed and is very affectionate and loves to snuggle and give kisses. He can be very playful and joyous and energetic and the difference between when he was first rescued and now is almost impossible to believe. He wants nothing more than to be with his human--once he learns to trust them. That can be something of a problem, however. Because of what he has been through, once he bonds, he can be very needy. Dallas has separation anxiety sometimes, and can be very vocal about it. He is terrified of being abandoned again, and he can be almost inconsolable. He is currently on anti-anxiety medication, and he probably will be on it for the indefinite future, perhaps the rest of his life. Dallas is not the ideal dog for everyone or every family. He cannot be left alone for any extended period of time, and he will need his medication daily. He would probably be best with someone who was home a lot and could devote the time necessary to bond with him, earn his trust, and learn his ways. The rewards, though, would be enormous. A beautiful, loving, sweet, gentle, companion who is eternally grateful and devoted, heart and soul, to his person. Dallas would never feel alone, neglected or abandoned again, and his person would have a true friend for life. If you think you might be a good fit for this special, beautiful, guy, please consider adopting him. A little love will go a long way, and come back a thousand fold. ** Dallas is part of our continuing care program. Corridor Rescue will waive the customary adoption fee. In addition we will reimburse a maximum of $250 of medical expenses per calendar year, inclusive of flea and heartworm preventives. **Dallas is available for adoption in Houston only. Pit Bull Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bear is about 3 years old and he weighs 76 pounds. We're not sure what breed he is, but we're guessing Pit Bull and/or American Staffordshire Terrier are in the mix. Bear is very affectionate and loves people. He seems to love everyone! He got along well with an elderly Chihuahua except that he wanted to play a little too roughly. He got along well with a female American Staffordshire Terrier. He will probably do best with a female dog which is 50 lbs or more. He seems to enjoy running and would make a great running buddy. He needs some training but does fairly well on the leash. He picked up the few basic commands his rescuer taught ... (Read More)him quickly. We believe he has a lot of potential to be a great pet for someone who is willing to train and spend quality time with him. He truly wants to be a best friend! **This dog is NOT with Corridor Rescue. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi there! I'm Trucker. Look no further, I'm the one you have been searching for. I was told I'm a handsome young pup, only 2 years old with an extremely gorgeous brindle coat. My favorite things to do are going on walks, car rides and playing with my furry foster brother. This is what my foster mom had to say about me: 'Ears up, face cocked, ready for adventure is how Trucker greets every day. As soon as he leaves his crate from his night time sleep, he is ready to romp and play with his foster brother Ollie and then outside he goes to potty (never inside).' Trucker graduated from a training program where he learned his manners. He ... (Read More)follows commands well on the leash. Although walks are great, the Texas heat makes him want to come inside rather than doing any sunbathing outside, although he will chase the ball if the mood strikes him. He sits on command and is learning 'crate up' as his bedtime command. He shares very well, in fact he and foster brother, Ollie, have been known to chew on the same bone at times, a la the spaghetti scene from Lady and the Tramp. His wrestling might be too much for an older dog. He does fine with small kids after the initial introduction, in fact he only really gets overexcited with his foster mom. He roams the house during the day when someone is home to keep an eye on him. He has not jumped up to any counters, although you can see his nose going a mile a minute. He is suspicious of uncut watermelon but as soon as it is cut, he is happy to share a piece with you. There you have it! I'm house and crate trained, good with dogs, kids and really love all people. I'm curious, outgoing and very playful. Oh, and I will protect you from the mean watermelon if need to. Se my video to view my protection skills. ***This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. Black Mouth Cur Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hello! My name is Briles. I was born in about July 2014 and I weigh about 55 pounds. I'm a low energy boy. My breed mix is a bit of a mystery! Maybe some hound, Labrador, Pit Bull or Staffordshire Terrier? Who knows? I do a few cute things that would make you fall in love with me, like splashing in the water and waddling my chubby little self like a hippo when I run. I love to eat and am currently working on sharing my food, treats, and toys. I would rather have them all for myself! I'm a bit of a foodie but am working on it. Before the nice people at Corridor Rescue saved me from living in the woods, I had never been on a leash, but I ... (Read More)like it and walk very nicely now that my foster mom trained me. Like I said, I love treats and I'll take those very gently out of your hands. I also know the command to sit. I'm smart, they tell me! I will let you rub my belly for as long as you would like, or better yet scratch my head and ears. I'll take a little time to get to know and trust my new family, but please know that I want one so badly. I don't need a big house or a big yard, just a little space, a leash for walks, and LOTS of love. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

My name is Ashley. Do you think someone will want to adopt me? I was rescued from a life in the woods where I was thrown away by my previous owner. I'm hoping someone else will want to give me a chance and a home. Here is what Ashley's foster mom has to say about her: Ashley is a very laid back girl. She loves squeaky toys and soft toys. She loves to cuddle and give kisses and will crawl up in my lap whenever possible. She stays home during my work day and when I am gone and does fine, but she has always been with other dogs. She does get energized usually once a day and will wrestle and run a little bit, but nothing hyper. ... (Read More)Ashley was born about July 2012. She has arthritis in her hips and takes glucosamine supplements. Ashley would be best in a home with older children and without other pets, especially cats! She is not good with strange dogs, she runs at them at first, but then calms down if they don't engage. She needs a home with a secure yard as she likes to escape. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275. Vizsla Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Male Dogs Only, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Meet Scarlett! We think Scarlett is a mix of breeds possibly Labrador, Vizsla or Pit Bull Terrier. She was born around February 11, 2012 and she weighs approximately 60 pounds. She's a beautiful red brindle color. She would prefer an active adopter so she can get plenty of exercise. Scarlett loves to run around in the yard at the boarding facility where she bunks. She really doesn't care for being in a crate and you don't have to worry about putting her in one because she is very clean and well potty-trained. If you need a running or hiking partner then Scarlett is for you! If you give her a treat she will take it very gently from ... (Read More)your hand. She is very smart and knows several commands, chases after toys that you throw, hops like a bunny when she gets excited, and likes to play keep-away. Scarlett is dog a little selective, she likes some dogs, like her buddy, Spooky, but other dogs not so much. She kisses the pig and ignores the cat at the facility where she is boarding. As far as her human companions, she is affectionate with but not clingy. She has not spent time around children. **Scarlett is a member of our Continuing Care program which means her adoption fee is waived for an approved applicant. In addition we offer a reimbursement of $250 annually for veterinary expenses, for up to 5 years after the adoption date. **This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to most major US and Canadian cities via United Airlines PetSafe for an additional $275.
